Wheel of Fortune

The Wheel of Fortune is the 10th card of the Major Arcana, representing the cycles of life, unexpected change, and major turning points. It carries themes of karma, fate, good fortune, and the natural movement of life.

The Wheel often appears when something is shifting.

Life moves in cycles. There are seasons of beginnings and endings, growth and rest, uncertainty and clarity. The Wheel reminds us that none of these seasons remain forever.

Eventually, the wheel turns.

Upright, the Wheel of Fortune is traditionally considered a positive omen. It can signal a change in circumstances, an unexpected opportunity, or a moment when things begin moving into greater alignment. Sometimes this happens because of choices we have made and seeds we have planted. Other times, life simply takes an unexpected turn , that twist of fate we could never have planned for.

There is also deep wisdom in this card. We cannot control every turn of the wheel, but we can choose how we meet it. Sometimes our greatest transformation begins when we stop trying to hold everything in place and allow ourselves to move with what is changing.

How to Work With This Energy

Notice what feels as though it is beginning to shift in your life. Rather than immediately trying to control where it is going, become curious about it.

Ask yourself whether this change is disrupting your path, or perhaps redirecting you toward it.

Trust what you have learned from the cycles that came before. You may not know exactly where the wheel is taking you yet, but that doesn't mean you aren't moving forward.
